Iconic American fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger has partnered with London-born, Melbourne-based contemporary artist Mysterious Al for a limited-edition street art-inspired micro-capsule.

The second Tommy’s Drop Shop release, the collaborative capsule includes short-sleeved and long-sleeved t-shirts and a hoodie. All of the pieces feature energetic artwork by Mysterious Al, which brings together color and freestyled shapes to create unique designs.
With fewer than 200 units per style on offer, the micro-capsule is available in Europe, exclusively on the Tommy Hilfiger website, starting February 12.
Having first attracted attention for his wall paintings, paste-ups and street installations in the early 2000s, Mysterious Al has since begun to explore a range of deeper themes through his work. Currently he creates pieces that reimagine ancient tribal masks, working with a palette of bright, primary colors.
Tommy’s Drop Shop is a series of lightning-fast limited-edition releases featuring the work of a wide range of creators from across the pop culture landscape. Each drop includes a super-limited quantity of gender-neutral t-shirts and hoodies made using 100% organic cotton.
The initiative reflects wider attempts at the PVH-owned brand to bring creative collaboration and a “See Now, Buy Now” approach together in order to diversify its offering and delivery strategy.
The first drop included collaborations with UK-based lifestyle brand Sports Banger, German graphic designer Mago, and Zome Studio.
The third Tommy’s Drop Shop micro-capsule is set to launch in April of this year. The brand’s collaborator for the upcoming release has not yet been revealed.
