Under the new partnership, Timex will be responsible for the production and worldwide distribution of watches under the Judith Leiber and Judith Leiber Couture brands. The pieces will sell at Judith Leiber boutiques, as well as at select authorized retailers and online, starting spring 2022.

According to the companies, Timex creative director Giorgio Galli will work closely with Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, creative director of Judith Leiber, in order to ensure that the watch collections reflect the Judith Leiber aesthetic.

“We are proud to reinforce our partnership with Authentic Brands Group and to add a brand that is a true cultural icon in the fashion world,” said Timex Group CEO Tobias Reiss-Schmidt in a release. “We look forward to combining our expertise in luxury watchmaking with the disruptive, pop-culture inspired designs that the Judith Leiber brand is so renowned for.”

The partnership kicks off with the launch of two limited-edition collaborative designs that reimagine Timex’s T80 digital and Q analog watches. Limited to 200 units each, the designs feature more than 900 Swarovski crystals, which decorate the cases, dials and bracelets of the watches with vibrant color combinations.

“We're so excited to design and release a collection with Timex. Watches are timeless, functional and the ultimate style accessory,” commented Ocleppo Hilfiger. “Each watch has been transformed into wearable art through the impeccable craftsmanship, bold colors and iconic designs our audience loves and expects from Judith Leiber Couture.”

Based in Middlebury, Connecticut, Timex Group currently has some 3,000 employees around the world. The company makes watches for a number of well-known brands, including Adidas, Furla, Guess, Missoni, Nautica, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ted Baker, Versace and Versus.
