Tiger of Sweden appoints interim CEO

Moa Strand, currently chief marketing officer of menswear brand Tiger of Sweden, has taken up the role of interim CEO following the sudden resignation of Hans-Christian Meyer on Monday.

Tiger of Sweden owner IC Group, whose portfolio also includes By Malene Birger, said it has already begun the recruitment process for a new CEO.

Moa Strand has been with the tailoring brand for almost three years, joining as head of business development in August 2016 and rising to chief marketing officer last year to strengthen Tiger of Sweden’s positioning in the premium market.

Prior to that, she was a consultant at Bain & Company, and served as an investment analyst at private equity hedge fund Sator Capital Limited.

Strand becomes interim CEO of Tiger of Sweden following the shock departure of former boss Hans-Christian Meyer earlier this week. No reason was provided for his sudden decision, which came just a little more than a year after he had joined the company.
