Tiger of Sweden has placed all of its men's, women's and denim collections under the same creative umbrella, tasking designer Christoffer Lundman with bringing coherence and a breath of fresh air to the fashion label. The Swedish designer will start in his new role as head of design and creativity from 1st June, and his work will be discernible from the Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

Christoffer Lundman has a remarkable fashion curriculum. A graduate of London's Central Saint Martins, he spent more than seven years at Acne, in charge of style for the menswear lines.

In 2013 he joined Tom Ford as senior designer for menswear. He worked with the US brand for a year, notably supervising the casual lines and and launching the denim range, before joining Burberry in London. At the end of 2014, he took charge of the British label's main collections, and a year later he was appointed Design Director of Burberry Runway.

"Being Swedish, Christoffer has a thorough understanding of Tiger of Sweden's significance and role in Scandinavian fashion," wrote Per Hakans, the label's Marketing Director, in a press release. "This goes hand in hand with his undeniable talent as a designer."

Lundman's mission is to raise the status of this mixed label, turning it into a major player in contemporary Scandinavian fashion, as well as seeking to boost its international appeal.

Tiger of Sweden was founded in Uddevalla, Sweden in 1903, and joined the IC group in 2003. In its non-standard 2015/16 fiscal year, the label recorded a revenue of €131 million.
