The London Textile Fair welcomes more than 5,000 visitors through its doors

More than 5,270 buyers, designers and brands visited the July edition of The London Textile Fair, which closed its doors on 19 July after two days of “buzzing” activity.

Show organisers said around 475 exhibitors presented more than 600 collections, receiving an “enthusiastic response” from the British market.

The exhibition is largely international, with more than 50% of the exhibiting space within the fashion fabrics hall presenting manufacturers from Italy and Turkey. There were also exhibitors from the United Kingdom (18%), France (12%), Portugal (7%) and Spain (5%).

The London Textile Fair said this edition attracted record numbers of visitors, including top high street brands, retailers, multiples, manufacturers and designers. Regular visitors like Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser, Top Shop, Top Man, River Island, Ted Baker, Debenhams had the opportunity to see and choose from a large range of textiles from the best textile mills in Europe.

84% of the visitors came from the UK, travelling from Scotland, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham, while international visitors came from France, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Northern Europe, Russia, US and the Middle East.

New this season was The Future Fabrics Expo, organised in collaboration with Sustainable Angle. The section featured the latest innovation in the sector and hosted 16 exhibitors. Additionally, The Future Fabrics Expo held a programme of seminars presented by Lenzing Group.

The London Textile Fair is organised by the same company which hosts Texfusion, The London Technical Textile Fair, The London Print Design Fair, and the new Texfusion in New York.

The next edition of TLTF will take place on 9-10 January at the Business Design Centre in London.
