Telford’s new fashion development secures Next and New Look

Published
Mar 10, 2017

High street fashion favourites Next and New Look have signed pre-let agreements with Telford shopping centre to move into expanded premises at the mall’s fashion development.

Sovereign Centros and Orion Capital Partners are redeveloping and extending New Row and New Street to create a 70,000 sq ft fashion quarter, which will retain House of Fraser as anchor and house existing tenants Zara and River Island.

Both Next and New Look will be increasing their presence in the centre with Next upsizing to a 30,000 sq ft store and New Look to a 16,000 sq ft unit.

“We are delighted to have secured Next and New Look to anchor our new fashion development. These are major lettings which reinforce Telford as a powerful regional destination,” said Alexandra Pugh, Senior Leasing and Asset Management at Sovereign Centros.

According to Pugh, the centre is currently negotiating further signings with a host of retailers which are new to the town, and will be making further announcements soon.

The new development is planned to open in autumn 2018.
