Ted Baker launches first US bedding collection at Nordstrom

Published
Apr 4, 2017

Ted Baker on Monday launched its bedding collection in the US for the first time ever. The inaugural US launch of the bedding collection is part of Ted Baker’s increased focus on the North American market.

The Ted Baker SS17 bedding collection

The new SS17 collection, which is available at Nordstrom, complements the luxury lifestyle brand’s fashion offering, with bold floral prints and geometric and textured patterns on comforter sets, coverlets and decorative pillows.

Ted Baker took inspiration from Holland’s tulip fields for its ‘Blue Beauty’ story that features a tonal blue pattern, and looked to flower blooms for the ‘Focus Bouquet’ purple and coral prints on bedlinen. The luxury lifestyle label also drew inspiration from a vintage kimono found in New York City for the Flight of the Orient bedding, which features a print of birds amidst cherry blossoms.

"Luxurious fabrics and attention to detail are the hallmarks of all of Ted's collections and this is no different when looking at the beautiful lifestyle ranges.,” said Global Brand Communication Director, Craig Smith. “From a subtle embroidered detail and trim on pillows to playfully amusing notes on the packaging, everything that bears the Ted Baker [mark] always offers the finest quality and that little bit more – something which our customers have grown to love and expect from a Ted design."

The UK-based brand posted great quarterly sales performances in North America, most recently reporting a 13% currency-neutral increase in US and Canada retail sales. The segment performed well despite a fall in tourism in the US and an increase in promotional activity.

Ted Baker’s new stores in the US and Canada undoubtedly contributed to its positive sales performances, and there are plans to open more stores in the coming years in Los Angeles and Houston.
