Sweden Unlimited agency opens in UK, acquires Skywire and Folk

New York-based digital creative agency Sweden Unlimited is ramping up its global operations as the business, which targets the fashion, beauty, luxury and lifestyle sectors, expands into the UK and Europe.

The company, which specialises in strategy, e-commerce and content, has announced the opening of its first creative studio outside of the US, in London’s Notting Hill. It will now serve UK and European brands and retailers with creative content and commerce services from the new studio.

The company said that the opening is the first step in an international expansion strategy backed by the Together Group, which brings together a number of founder-led creative agencies into one umbrella group. Together acquired SoHo-based Sweden in July “with the objective to grow [it] into a global leading creative digital agency” for brands and stores in sectors such as fashion, beauty, and luxury.

Together has also acquired two other well-known UK creative agencies in the fashion and luxury space, Skywire and Folk, to give Sweden’s UK launched an extra boost. It has integrated them under the Sweden London brand as it seeks to accelerate its expansion in Britain and beyond.

Skywire and Folk have previously worked with a raft of brands including Bottega Veneta, Asprey, De Beers, Hermès, Hirsh London, Hackett, and Loewe.

"Sweden Unlimited’s expertise is founded on a cultural perspective that integrates art and design into every aspect of their work,” said co-founder and chief creative officer Richard Agerbeek. "As a digital-first agency, we design brand experiences that span all channels and platforms.” 

CEO Leja Kress,  added that “the idea of moving into Europe has always been one of the goals for us, but until now we had not truly found the right partner. Upon meeting the teams at Skywire and Folk we knew we had discovered the way to make that move.”

The Skywire addition is expected to add particular strength in the jewellery, watch and lifestyle sectors.
