Italian shoe brand Superga is leading the footwear and  accessories line-up at fashion trade event Moda in February with the UK launch of the AW19 Alexa Chung collaboration.

Superga is launching the new Alexa Chung collection at Moda next month - Superga

The fashion fair, held in Birmingham twice a year, brings together over 1,200 collections across womenswear, footwear and accessories.

This week, it confirmed Superga as a new exhibitor, boosting the array of footwear brands available at the show.

Famous for its Classic Superga 2750 style, which was dubbed “the people's shoe of Italy” after its launch in 1925, the label has continued to reinvent the tennis trainer in partnership with some of the world’s leading designers.

British style icon, designer, TV presenter and writer Alexa Chung is the latest to give the 2750 a makeover, using fabrics like satin and terry towel in shades like burgundy, green and off-white.

Superga will be launching this collection, alongside a host of new colours, animal prints, fluoro colourways, sports luxe trainers for women and corduroy styles for men at Moda next month.

It will join other UK and international brands such as Yull, DB Shoes, London Brogues, and Northwest Territory, as well as Pod, Tilley and Grace, Snoxell and Suzie Blue.

Moda is taking place on 17-19 February at the NEC with a new concept focusing on the increasingly affluent 50-plus demographic. Additionally, this will be the first season without the menswear category, as Moda Gent, which is moving to Pure London.
