Superdry introduces rugby collection, plans German expansion

Young British casual fashion brand Superdry is expanding its sportswear offer. Influenced by the Six Nations tournament, which starts in February, Superdry will be introducing a new rugby collection for men.

Though the label already has a number of rugby-style pieces for men, the new line will be more specialized. Superdry is launching it to fill a gap in the market for "high-quality, affordable rugby products."

"Superdry is renowned for quality sportswear that pays homage to vintage style, which is why it makes perfect sense to see classic bold stripes and rugby-style badges and logos from this mega brand. The designs and colours in the Superdry Rugby collection are inspired by each of the nations participating in February's tournament. To celebrate the Rugby World Cup later this year, the collection will be developed with new and exciting options," Superdry says.

In other Superdry news, the company is planning to expand in Germany. This year will see the opening of three new German Superdry stores in Berlin, Karlsruhe and Bochum.
