Superdry expands presence at Liverpool One
Superdry has relocated and upsized its store at Liverpool One. The label, famed for combining American design with Japanese-inspired graphics, has opened a 10,000 sq ft store on South John Street.
This is the brand’s second concept store in the North, and includes a state-of-the-art music system, bespoke lighting and an impressive lightbox displaying the Liverpool skyline. A giant screen showcases the Superdry summer campaign film The Night is Young while clothing racks display the entire Superdry range including men and women’s Superdry Sport ranges, the Idris Elba collaboration and the Men’s premium collection.
Commenting on the news, Alison Clegg from Grosvenor Europe, said: “Superdry has created a brilliant new store with several exciting features. They have built a strong catchment of loyal customers and this considerable upsize is testament to their success at Liverpool ONE. We have no doubt they will continue to trade fantastically in this new location.”
Superdry had previously a store on Liverpool One’s Paradise Street, but relocated to a different unit to allow the JD Sports upsize. The sports brand will open a regional flagship of almost 40,000 sq ft later this year.
Liverpool One has also recently seen the arrival of global lifestyle and fashion brand Guess. Which opened a 5,000 sq ft flagship in May, and British clothing brand Ben Sherman, which opened its first full-price store in the UK outside the greater London area earlier this year.
