Studio.co.uk introduces first mobile shopping app

Published
Sep 25, 2019

Following the debut of its new visual identity earlier this year, Lancashire-based online retailer Studio.co.uk has announced the launch of its first ever mobile shopping app.

Studio.co.uk

It responds to a shift in consumer behaviour towards mobile shopping, with 70-80% of all online transactions recorded by the retailer taking place on mobile.

Available to download on both iOS and Android devices, the Studio Wow app offers tens of thousands of products across homeware, clothing, gifts and electricals.

“We have come a long way from our traditional catalogue heritage and have listened closely to what customers want and that is to have great value Studio products at their fingertips and to manage their accounts easily,” said Studio Retail marketing director Chris Chalmers in a press release.

"We identified that having an app was the missing piece in our digital puzzle in our ambition to be the UK's best-known digital value retailer.”

The app delivers “a highly personalised shopping experience”, with AI-enabled technology ensuring users are always shown “the right products at the right time”.

The app launch is part of a wider overhaul to bring Findel Group’s Studio.co.uk into the 21st century, with the brand transitioning from its background in catalogues and gifting products to a modern online retailer.

Studio.co.uk sells clothing from well-known brands including Puma, Quiz and Lacoste, as well as electricals and household goods. Personalised nightwear was one of its top selling categories in December last year.

The brand revamp has included a new logo with a cherry-coloured ‘o’, a new website and a multi-channel marketing campaign running across TV and online.
