State of Fashion: new fashion event in Arnhem, Netherlands

State of Fashion is the name of the fashion event to be hosted in Arnhem, the Netherlands as of 2018, as announced by local newspaper, De Gelderlander.

According to the newspaper, the event replaces the former fashion affair, Arnhem Mode Biënnale, which operated every two years from 2005 until 2013 and stopped due to a shortage in the organization's budget.

De Gelderlander also reported that Jose Teunissen has been appointed as curator of the event. Teunissen is the Dean at the School of Design and Technology at the University of the Arts London in addition to her role as visiting professor at the ArtEZ academy of Arts and Design.

Like its predecessor, State of Fashion will closely collaborate with ArtEZ. Alumni of the academy include such names as: Viktor & Rolf, Iris van Herpen and Bas Kosters.
