St. John CEO Eran Cohen takes up Movado's MVMT helm

Movado Group announced on Wednesday the appointment of Eran Cohen as the new chief executive officer of its MVMT brand, effective March 16.

Cohen will report to Behzad Soltani EVP commercial president and CTO, Movado Group, and will be based at MVMT’s headquarters in Los Angeles.

Cohen joins the U.S. watches group from St. John Knits, where he served as president and CEO of the Fosun-owned luxury apparel company, since 2018.

Prior to St. John, the executive served as executive vice president and chief customer experience officer for PetSmart, after managerial roles in marketing, merchandising, design and digital for a range of companies ranging from Diane von Furstenberg, New York & Company and Payless ShoeSource earlier in his career.

Movado Group, based in Paramus, New Jersey, manufactures its own watch brands, including its namesake Movado brand, and Concord and Ebel and MVMT, which it acquired in 2018.

n addition, Movado makes and distributes watches on behalf popular fashion and accessories brands including Coach, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Olivia Burton, Tommy Hilfiger and Scuderia Ferrari.
