Space NK is upsizing in Leeds. The 60-store-plus premium beauty retailer will be relocating from its current location in Victoria Quarter to a Landsec-owned property on Trinity, the leading retail and leisure destination in the city centre.

The expansion is positive news for physical retail after a pandemic-hit 18 months. New and bigger stores help create added incentive for consumers to visit shopping centres and high streets that have been hit hard by closures.

The new location, opposite Pandora on the centre’s lower ground, covers around 1,700 sq ft, nearly double the size of the brand’s existing Leeds store. It's set to launch later this month, with all current beauty advisors moving over to the Trinity location.

Sara Cohen, trading director at Space NK, said the upgraded space will now offer “even more of the world’s best beauty products” including top-selling brands Charlotte Tilbury, Elemis, Laura Mercier, and Nars.

“We look forward to welcoming back our Leeds-based beauty community and introducing some new customers to Space NK,” she added.

Pablo Sueiras, Landsec’s Senior Portfolio director, also said: “Our focus is on creating destinations that celebrate the best in retail. Securing a relocation for Space NK in the city is a clear endorsement of  our strategy and proof that Trinity is the prime retail location in Leeds.

"By continuing to partner with innovative brands like Space NK we’re able to offer our guests new and unique experiences across our spaces, demonstrating the enduring value of physical retail in the process."
