German streetwear specialist Snipes has announced the appointment of Dennis Schröder as managing director of its European division. He will be joining CFO Tim Spickenbom and COO Peter Buse as of May 1.

Dennis Schröder - Snipes

Co-founder of TeamSports.ai, he previously worked for Nike as international director of key accounts and spent five years at Puma where he was director of the performance division for the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). He was also the marketing and merchandising director of the Fortuna football club in Düsseldorf.

"Due to our constant growth and the high relevance of our wholesale activities, now is the right time to fill the position in order to be able to work even more strategically and future-oriented," explains CEO Sven Voth. "Denis is the ideal person for the job. Through his work at Nike and Puma, he already knows many of our partners, is well known in the industry and brings a wealth of experience to the table."

The appointment comes at a time of expansion for Snipes, which has made a number of acquisitions in the US market. A market where the German company acquired the Mr Alan's chain in 2019, the Jimmy Jazz shops at the end of 2021, and the Expressions network in March 2022.

Launched in 1974 and having started building its network in 1998, Snipes now boasts more than 700 addresses on both sides of the Atlantic. According to its website, the company's offer includes around 100 major brands, including Adidas, Jordan, Nike, Reebok and Karl Kani. Not forgetting the Snipes own brand and its women's and men's collections.
