5,000 ‘sneakerheads’ are expected to descend on London this weekend for the second British edition of Sneakerness, Europe’s largest sneaker convention.

Sneaker culture panel talks, 5-a-side football tournaments and DJ performances will set the mood for the event, which is opening on Saturday 18 May in South East London’s Printworks warehouse.

The show will present a mix of the world’s leading brands and major sneaker stores including a large Foot Locker installation featuring trainers made of Lego, allowing private sellers and collectors from all over Europe buy, sell and swap footwear and streetwear fashion.

There will be exclusive prototypes, rare samples and vintage designs and silhouettes, and official partner StockX will present a drop-off point where guests can authenticate their sales and walk out with immediate payouts.

Organisers are expecting the Tom Sachs x NikeLab Mars Yard 2.0 to be the most sought after sneaker across the two days, and demand for collaborative product from Kanye West and Virgil Abloh to be still at a high.

Launched in Switzerland ten years ago by a group of sneaker enthusiasts, Sneakerness also organises events in Paris, Milan, Zurich, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Cologne.
