Smalls launches new lines, Oeuf NYC collaboration
Jan 25, 2019
After launching its first ever collection of men and women’s styles last year, British brand Smalls is moving into 2019 with several new projects, including new additions to its range and an exclusive collaboration with New York-based baby brand Oeuf.
The growing brand is exhibiting at Playtime, a trade show for childrenswear, in Paris this month, kickstarting a year of expansion as more and more shoppers embrace sustainability.
In addition to launching a curated collection of adult fashion, Smalls has unveiled its first sock line, developed in collaboration with leading French hosier Collegien. The socks, like all other Smalls products, are made with Merino wool, and designed to be worn in both cold and warm days.
An exclusive partnership with Oeuf NYC will also introduce a limited-edition range of children’s t-shirts with a planet earth print and the message ‘Under Pressure’, while a new colourway, ‘Alpine White’ is presented in an ultrafine, Italian-spun Merino wool to provide a gender-neutral alternative to children with eczema-prone skin.
Smalls co-founder Emma-Jane Adam commented: “We’ve already seen a massive reaction in the UK to the issue of plastic pollution. We’re proud that Smalls is at the forefront of the movement for wearing Merino year 'round.
"A Merino sheep grows a new fleece each year, making it a completely renewable fibre source without the environmental impacts of other so called eco or “organic” fabrics.”
The brand was founded in 2014 and its stockists include Harrods in the UK, Big Dreams in Australia and Beams in Japan.
