The Northern Irish designer took home the awards for both Womenswear and Menswear Designer of the Year - the first time this has ever happened. Anderson, whose designs create "thought-provoking silhouettes through a conscious cross-pollination between menswear and womenswear elements" has previously won the British Fashion Awards for ‘Emerging Talent, Ready-to-Wear’ (2012), ‘The New Establishment Award’ (2013) and 'Menswear Designer of the Year' (2014).

Charlotte Olympia, well-known for her iconic kitten flats and other playful shoe designs, won the Accessory Designer award, while Stella McCartney won the Brand award, which is given to "a leading British based designer brand that has made an impact on the international stage over the past year in areas that could include global distribution, stand-alone store(s), dynamic campaigns and an e-commerce platform."

The Emerging Designers of the Year were Thomas Tait (womenswear,) Grace Wales Bonner (menswear,) and Jordan Askill (accessories.) Tom Ford took home the Red Carpet award, while Jourdan Dunn was named model of the year.
