Size? opens store trio in the Midlands

Published
Apr 2, 2023

Street fashion retailer Size? is opening three new concept stores in one go across the Midlands from Monday (3 April), in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham.

The brand expansion comes about following the failure of the three Wellgosh fashion stores in those locations in late February, with the owner of both brands, JD Sports, transferring the retail units into Size? branded stores in what has been a speedy turnaround.

These new city-centre stores, in Cannon Street, Birmingham, Clumber Street, Nottingham, and High Street, Leicester, follow successful store openings in Liverpool and Stockholm in 2022.

The new stores “will enable shoppers to pick up exclusive and sought-after products on the high-street, including the world-famous Size? exclusive releases”, said JD Sports.

Each will stock a variety of world class brands, such as Nike, adidas Originals, Jordan, The North Face, New Balance, Clarks Originals, Carhartt WIP and many more.

They feature the latest in integrated digital installations, including transactional kiosks to allow customers to shop Size?’s online range and find products not found in-store.

Wellgosh, which started out as an independent fashion retailer but was bought by JD in January 2021, shuttered just weeks ago having failed to survive in the tough retail environment. Its 3,500 sq ft flagship Birmingham only opened in July last year.
