The department store’s new 20,000-sqaure-foot Beauty Hall in Manchester is now its biggest beauty destination outside London, stocking more than 25,000 products from 170 beauty, including 3,000 lipstick shades and 1,500 shades of foundation.

The first phase of the refurbishment and expansion opened back in the spring with dedicated counters for Huda Beauty, Mac, Nars and Giorgio Armani.

Now the second phase has welcomed more than 80 new brands including cosmetics brand Hourglass and counters from Charlotte Tilbury, IT Cosmetics, Jo Malone, Kiehl’s, La Mer, Lance, La Prairie, Tom Ford, Clarins, Clinique and Estee Lauder.

Additionally, a pop-up Social Studio opened from 10-14 October with a programme of events, workshops and meet-and-greets with social media influencers and beauty gurus. The space embraced the trend for ‘instagrammable spaces’ and provided engaging experiences for consumers.

Also aiming at making the shopping experience more personal is a new persona shopping service with a team of ‘Beauty Insiders’, who are available to guide shoppers through the Beauty Hall and help with questions on booking appointments, getting makeovers and the latest product launches.
