Self-Portrait launches SS22 campaign starring Bella Hadid
Affordable luxury label Self-Portrait has launched its SS22 campaign starring Bella said. Founder and creative director Han Chong said the supermodel has “this incredible purity of spirit and rawness of emotion that speaks to so many people today”.
Captured by British photographer Harley Weir, the images “document the different sides to Bella Hadid’s inimitable style and character, and showcase the many facets of the Self-Portrait woman”.
Stylist Haley Wollens, hairstylist Jawara Wauchope and make-up artist Sam Visser also worked on the campaign that clearly aims to show multiple aspects of her look brought to life via the new collection.
Chong said that for the collection, he was “inspired by the transition into life in the outside world” with “rich colours, new silhouettes and a blend of softened textures. New shapes in pastels and strong colour tones are designed to be worn effortlessly, embracing the free-spirited and relaxed ease of a new modern way of dressing”.
He added: “After what feels like a lifetime spent indoors, I was inspired to design a modern approach to dressing - strong, feminine styles but always soft and relaxed at the same time. This collection is a love letter to the Self-Portrait woman - one who is free to face the world, feel like herself and have fun again.”
