The Cornish brand has linked with repair and resale specialist Reskinned, with thepartnership enabling Seasalt customers to return pre-loved items to be to either “rehomed or recycled”. In return, the retailer will provide customers with vouchers of up to £25 off their next purchase.

The scheme, which “aims to maximise the life of Seasalt garments and reduce clothing waste” will see the retailer begin re-selling the pre-loved clothing via Reskinned later this year. The clothing return locations as well as the date of the scheme's launch will be announced later, it said.

Reskinned, which currently works with other high-profile brands including Sweaty BettyJoules and Finisterre, “helps shoppers make choices that are good for the planet and make shopping pre-loved clothing as enjoyable and easy as buying new”.

Seasalt also said the latest scheme is part of its sustainability commitment that includes increasing the use of certified sustainable materials while working towards becoming carbon net zero by 2040.

Paul Hayes, CEO at Seasalt, said: "We’re working hard to reduce our impact on the environment. We are big believers in supporting positive change.”

Matt Hanrahan, Co-Founder of Reskinned, added: “It’s our mission to maximise the lifespan of clothing. We’re making it easy for brands and their customers to re-home unwanted clothes, whether that’s reselling, repairing or if it’s end-of-life recycling it responsibly. We’re determined to create a more sustainable clothing future for us all.”

Seasalt products are sold in 69 stores across the UK and Ireland and via partnerships with retailers including M&S, Next and Zalando.
