Scotch Corner Designer Village has strengthened its senior management with the outlet centre adding a new retail chief and a marketing head.

Scotch Corner's Patrick Hanson-Lowe and Sarah Hodkinson

With a catchment of the whole of the North of England, it has named Sarah Hodkinson as Retail Director, with Patrick Hanson-Lowe as Marketing Director.

Hodkinson has specialised in outlet shopping for over 25 years since the sector really started to take off in the UK. More recently, she was Leasing Executive with Sheila King International, advising US, Canadian and European clients about brands, trends and insight in both the retail and leisure sectors.

Previously, she worked with Realm on the leasing of London Designer Outlet at Wembley Park and was also International Leasing Manager for McArthurGlen, being involved in leasing and asset management of all its UK sites, as well as those in France and Italy.

Hanson-Lowe also has an impressive CV with over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of marketing, including fashion for PRL, Jigsaw and Gucci. He also led the marketing for The Bicester Village Shopping Collection, Via Jurmala launch in Latvia, POP Prague, Springfields Outlet & Leisure and the relaunch of retail at Gatwick Airport.

The company said its new retail chief will “use her extensive knowledge of the outlet sector to set and steer the scheme’s leasing strategy and Patrick will use his extensive experience in the field to direct strategic local and global brand marketing and PR of the outlet and leisure destination”.

Simon Waterfield, developer and co-owner of Scotch Corner Richmond LLP, said: “We’re creating a strong team that brings know-how, impressive track-records and extensive experience to the project”.
