An exclusive collaboration between Harvey Nichols and the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) is bringing a curated selection of Scandinavian brands and products to the iconic London store in Knightsbridge.

North Wind installation with CIFF - Harvey Nichols

The specially selected edit of menswear, art, gastronomy, design and lifestyle objects, offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Scandinavian man. The concept, titled North Wind, will be in place for a total of seven weeks, showcasing three different themes in three distinct phases.

Fashion brands on display include Axel Arigato, Rains and This is Not Clothing, as well as knitwear label Gudrun & Gudrun. The concept covers a range of price points from everyday fashion, accessories and grooming products to a range of larger luxury items.

The first phase launched on 6 October and will run until the 21 of the month. It takes a closer look at the ‘Modern Viking’, exploring the meaning of being a Scandinavian male in today’s climate.

The second phase, running from October 22 to 2 November, looks a little deeper into ‘Scandis Behind Closed Doors’, presenting the way Scandinavian men dress their home.

The final phase, unveiled in the lead up towards Christmas from the 3-27 November, introduces the Harvey Nichols customer to the concept of “hygge”. Entitled ‘A Little Hygge For The Holidays’ this concept will represent all those little and not so little things that Scandinavian’s do for themselves and for each other that take the edge of modern life.

Mr. Kristien W. Andersen (Director & Creative Director, CIFF) said: “At CIFF, we believe that the consumer is now the driving force behind many trends, often ahead of the professionals in our industry. ‘North Wind’ is a way for us to bring directly to the Harvey Nichols customer both emerging and established design talent we believe are worthy of their attention.”

Anita Barr, Group Fashion Buying Director, Harvey Nichols added: “We are so proud to welcome CIFF into Harvey Nichols and showcase the most dynamic and innovative sales platforms in store. The Project 109 concept is the perfect platform to host the ‘North Wind’ installation and will showcase a variety of categories not usually available from our store, it epitomises what our menswear destination stands for and will not only appeal to our existing customer but will pull a new consumer into the space too.”

The North Wind installation will be housed in Harvey Nichols’ concept space, Project 109.
