Samantha Cameron is adding personal care to her fashion interests. Press reports said the wife of the UK’s former Prime minister has applied to trademark her name with the Intellectual property Office for “products for personal hygiene and beauty care.”

The filing takes in a number of items from fragrance through to deodorants.

It was revealed earlier this month that Cameron had set up Samantha Cameron Studio Ltd with speculation that she would launch a fashion and retail business covering a full range of fashion and lifestyle products.

Cameron, who is listed as the majority owner of Samantha Cameron Studio, is believed to be working with her former stylist/fashion consultant Isabel Spearman. Spearman worked closely with her on her wardrobe while David Cameron was PM but there was controversy when she was awarded an OBE in David Cameron’s resignation honours list.

Samantha Cameron has a strong background in fashion and accessories. Before she moved into number 10 Downing Street, she was the full-time creative director of luxury leather goods and accessories maker Smythson and she is still a part-time consultant for the brand, as well as being an ambassador for the British Fashion Council.
