The upcoming edition of Salon International de la Lingerie is expecting to see around 200 brands bringing a wide range of lingerie, corsetry, activewear, loungewear, beachwear, footwear, men's collections and emerging designers offering eco-responsible lingerie and products ideal for millennials.

The event taking place at Porte de Versailles (Hall 7.2) from June 18 to June 20 will also be hosting Exposed, which brings together a selection of well-known names and young designers including Simone by Simone Pérèle, Pantys, Paloma Casille, Nénés Paris, Love on the Snow, and Icone among others, and its counterpart Interfilière Paris.

"The show’s promising feature is its international appeal," explained Taya de Reyniès, Eurovet's lingerie and swimwear event manager. "This is what our exhibitors expect. Last January, our registration level was too low to be able to forecast a visitor baseline for this edition."

As life returns back to normal, new collections will be unveiled as well as trends that focus on four it-products for the coming season. "They will be displayed throughout the show, as close as possible to the Live workshops, which will mark the buyers' visit and be visible in our two daily passes (2 pm and 4:30 pm), which will be another highlight of the show," continued de Reyniès.

Panties will be featured in all lingerie and swimwear collections. "In response to the no-bra trend, panties are taking center stage. Chic, sexy, retro or as bloomers with ruffles, they are certainly making a comeback," said Eurovet's director. Menstrual panties are also among the rising trends, represented by the French brand Réjeanne which will be participating at the event for the first time.

Bodysuits will be another star item in all the collections, both short or long sleeved, in sexy or shapewear versions, playing with transparencies and daring to juxtapose different fabrics with each other such as silk, lace, or lycra.

In addition, sustainable efforts will be made by both the swimwear and lingerie brands. “Products are becoming more and more ethical, sustainable and circular in response to consumer demand for better production conditions and greater transparency in manufacturing," said de Reyniès. “We will focus on these initiatives that push boundaries.” The color green is also currently on trend and will be found in several collections.

Genderless silhouettes are also gaining traction. "This movement liberating the word and the body continues its breakthrough. Many women are looking for comfortable and unrestricted underwear. Brands are reinventing themselves and/or offering new concepts around innovative materials. Yoga wear, in particular, has influenced many different styles of underwear," she continued.

Several special events are scheduled to take place for the show. This edition, which is framed around the theme of diversity and body positivity, will include the experience of a circle of women, the discovery of Human Design, Bra Fitting, lithotherapy and No Gender makeup. "The goal is to crystallize societal trends through event-based experiences to better understand tomorrow's market and offer ideas that start at the point of sale," said de Reyniès.

Meanwhile, Interfilière Paris will present innovations and trends in materials and accessories for Fall/Winter 2023-2024. There will also be a General Forum organized by Concepts Paris featuring through-provoking conferences such as one discussing the new challenges CSR is currently facing.

The highlight of the Salon International de la Lingerie will be the third edition of the Promincor-Lingerie Française show. Organized by the Association for the Promotion of the Corsetry Industry and DEFI, the show will bring together 10 major French lingerie brands: Antigel, Aubade, Chantelle, Empreinte, Passionata, Lise Charmel, Lou, Louisa Bracq, Maison Lejaby and Simone Pérèle, who will present their collections in an exceptional fashion show staged at the Théâtre Marigny in Paris on June 19 at 8:30 pm. The show will be broadcast live on www.lingeriefrancaise.com. The theme? Retrofuture.
