CHICAGO, May 5 (Reuters) - High-end department store chain operator Saks Inc (SKS.N) plans to open four more of its Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH stores as it tries to tap the lower-priced sector for more growth.

The company said on Wednesday 5 May that it will open new stores in Pittsburgh; Portland, Oregon; Houston and the Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina, region. Saks currently operates 55 OFF 5th stores.

In February, Saks CEO Stephen Sadove told Reuters the company planned to open three to five of that chain a year for the next few years. (Reporting by Brad Dorfman, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
