Saatchi & Saatchi is John Lewis's new creative marketing agency

The John Lewis Partnership (JLP) has appointed a new ad agency. Saatchi & Saatchi has become the UK retail giant’s new creative marketing partner from this summer for both John Lewis and its supermarket retail brand Waitrose.

Saatchi & Saatchi becomes the lead creative agency for all JLP, John Lewis, John Lewis Financial Services and Waitrose brand and advertising activity, replacing long-standing agency Adam&eveDDB after 14 years. 

It means it will be responsible for the brand’s famous Christmas TV ads.

JLP said the change comes as the brands aim “continue to engage and excite our customers”.

It said the agency has been hired to develop and produce all its brand campaigns. It will also support next year’s launch of the new JLP brand loyalty programme, which will see customers being rewarded more when they shop with John Lewis and Waitrose.
