Rolling Stones launch 360° virtual experience to support new store

Published
Nov 25, 2020

It may not have seemed like great timing when The Rolling Stones opened their first physical shop in August with the debut of RS No. 9 Carnaby in London’s Soho coming just before the second Covid wave hit.

The Rolling Stones

But the mega-group is committed to expanding its merchandise sales and has just unveiled a global e-commerce shop equipped with a 360° virtual experience “so customers can shop inside the store from anywhere in the world”.

It’s for consumers who can’t get to the Carnaby Street store, which at the moment is just about everyone given the English lockdown that’s in force until December 2.

Once the shopper enters the virtual store they can select product and experience “a seamless user journey over the store's two floors, including the sound booth room, which hosts collaboration pieces such as the exclusive Stutterheim rain Mac”.

Virtual visitors can also find the “fashion forward” AW20 collection for men and women, “which is influenced by workwear and also showcases the athleisure trend”. And childrenswear, accessories and Christmas baubles complete the offer.

The website also highlights the artistic history of the physical store’s location on Carnaby Street and “shares insider anecdotes about the architecture and design features”.
