River Island introduces petite range

​UK high street brand River Island is adding a new range to its apparel collections, a line especially designed for women who are 5ft3 and under.

RI Petite builds on the success of the brand’s RI Plus collection, which launched in March this year, further expanding River Island’s fashion collections to offer style options to more women.

The collection includes 70 pieces, which will come in sizes 4 – 16 and feature designs carefully altered to flatter the petite figure.  Leg lengths are shortened to 29 inches and sleeve lengths reduced by 1 inch, said the British brand in a statement.

Reflecting River Island’s trend-led philosophy, the range will provide petite women with the hottest styles for the holiday season, including satin dresses, sequin tops, denim shirts and a leopard coat. Wardrobe staples will be also available, from the brand’s iconic jeans to chunky knits.

The range launches as an online exclusive on October 21.
