Rimowa is launching an eyewear line. The high-end German luggage brand owned by LVMH is starting to diversify its product range, following a spate of prestigious collaborations with names like Fendi, Supreme, Off-White and Dior. Rimowa's first eyewear collection will be available at select Rimowa stores and on the brand’s e-shop from July 9.

Thélios will produce and distribute the Rimowa eyewear line,” a spokesperson for Thélios told FashionNetwork.com. Eyewear specialist Thélios is a joint-venture company set up in 2018 by LVMH with Italian manufacturer Marcolin. Thélios has a factory in Longarone, in northern Italy's eyewear production district, and has taken charge of the sunglasses and eyeglasses collections of the luxury goods giant’s leading labels.

Besides Rimowa, it currently looks after the design, production and distribution of sunglasses and eyeglasses frames for Celine, Loewe, Kenzo, Fred and Berluti. Thélios is also set to take over Dior’s eyewear lines, formerly licensed to Safilo. The first collection will be unveiled in January 2021.

Rimowa's eyewear line will debut with a unisex sunglasses range, and will later be integrated with a unisex collection of eyeglasses frames. The models will be priced between €230 and €310.
