Revo, in collaboration with U2 frontman Bono Vox and supported by the Brien Holden Vision Institute, Sydney, has created a capsule collection featuring five pairs of sunglasses.
For each pair sold, the brand will donate $10 in favour of the 'Buy Vision, Give Sight' campaign, promoted by the Brien Holden Vision Institute, which will invest the funds in searching for the most effective ways to fight blindness worldwide. The ultimate objective is to help over 5 million people suffering from sight problems, both adults and children, by 2020.

This is a personal cause for Bono: he fought glaucoma for 20 years, and without appropriate treatment he would very likely have become blind. The collection was launched in 2015 and was featured at the latest edition of the Mido eyewear trade show in Milan, presented by Menrad, the brand's manufacturer and distributor.

German eyewear group Menrad was founded by Ferdinand Menrad in 1896 in Schwäbisch Gmund, Germany. Since the 1980s it holds licences for the manufacturing of Joop!, Jaguar Cars and Davidoff eyewear. The Menrad Group is currently owned by the fourth generation of the Menrad family and is led by Eberhard Muller-Menrad and Hermann Muller-Menrad.

The group has a staff of over 1,000 people and sells its products in more than 100 countries through 11 distribution companies based in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, China, the UAE (Dubai), Turkey, Poland and Italy. Sales to other countries worldwide are managed by the group through its own export department. In 1997, Menrad opened a manufacturing facility in China which currently employs over 900 workers and is located in the town of Jieyang, in the Guangdong province.

The Menrad group also sells Menrad-branded eyewear, and in 2015 it began to distribute the Hackett and Spine labels in Germany and Austria.  Spine is distributed in the Netherlands too. In the same year, the Menrad sales subsidiaries in Germany, the UK/Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Italy have added US sunglasses brand Revo to their product range.
