British upmarket fashion brand Reiss will be arriving at Gatwick airport this month with the launch of a 900-square-foot tax-free store stocking specially curated womenswear, menswear and accessories.

The new Gatwick store adds to Reiss' portfolio ofover 190 sites in 17 countries worldwide - Reiss

The store will be located in the South Terminal, and will continue Reiss’ concept of creating individual micro-flagship stores that respond to their location. The signing responds to a strong passenger demand for fashion at the airport, said a statement.

Dominated by a subtle palette of white oil-brushed timber, blackened steel pale grey textures, iceberg blue marble and cool summer-white concrete, the store takes cues from architecture and the natural world to create a welcoming environment.

“We are delighted to be opening our first standalone in Gatwick, and are excited to reach new and existing international and local customers,” said David Reiss, founder and chairman of the brand.

“Reiss’ design-led products complement our existing retail offer and will continue to meet consumer demand for high quality fashion as part of the airport shopping experience,” added Rachel Bulford, head of retail at Gatwick.

Other fashion brands at the airport include Boss, Cath Kidston, Harrods, Havaianas, Lacoste, Ted Baker and Superdry.
