Following its rebrand earlier this year, Christopher Raeburn’s eponymous fashion label Raeburn is set to make its retail debut in Central London this August.

The responsible fashion brand will open a six-month pop-up store at 3 Newburgh Street, Carnaby, joining the likes of store Samsøe & Samsøe and Ralph Lauren’s RRL in the popular shopping destination.

Occupying 814 sq ft, it will be the brand’s primary retail space in the capital, but Raeburn has also an atelier and showroom in Hackney, which is open five days a week as an experiential retail store.

Building on the British designer’s sustainable vision, the Carnaby pop-up will also be used as a creative studio to host a wide range of events and workshops.

Christopher Raeburn, who became Timberland’s first ever creative director in 2018, is known for reworking surplus fabrics and garments to creative distinctive pieces with a functional edge. His womenswear, menswear, luggage and accessories will be stocked at the new Raeburn pop-up, as well as collaborations and special items.

Jolyon Bexon, head of retail at Raeburn says: “Our Newburgh Street store will offer Raeburn the chance to tell its unique brand story to a new and exciting audience. As we develop and test our retail concept, we look forward to meeting and learning from our customers. Our agility as a business to deliver on their feedback will be another important step for the brand as we continue to grow at home and abroad.”

Samantha Bain-Mollison, head of retail at Shaftesbury adds: “We are excited to host the first West End flagship for responsible brand Raeburn. Innovative product within a creative space alongside their sustainability policy is exactly the right fit for our Carnaby and Newburgh Quarter shopper. We hope they will succeed to become a permanent fixture on Newburgh Street alongside Filson, Red Wing and Levi’s Vintage.”
