Quiz unveils new influencer partnerships for Christmas
Influencer collections have been sure-fire way for a growing number of fashion retailers to build sales. So under-pressure Quiz is doubling-down on the trend by adding some high-profile names to its roster in the run-up to Christmas.
The struggling but improving fast-fashion omnichannel retailer has launched collections from four blogger/influencers. These are Amy Neville, fashion blogger, model and influencer with an audience of more than 512k; Jourdan Riane, model and Love Island 2019 member who engages with over 700k followers; model and influencer Natalya Wright; and Sydney May Crouch, fashion and beauty blogger, influencer and YouTuber.
“Celebrating the highly anticipated return of Christmas events and festivities”, Quiz said the four collections comprise 38 party-ready styles “with a sprinkle of glamour, fun and flirty ruching as well as statement silhouettes” plus a colour palette “filled with rich and festive emerald greens blended with bold black monochrome and luxurious champagne tones”.
The new range has just launched in selected stores and online.
Like many fashion retailers, Quiz could certainly do with a successful Christmas sales season after suffering falling revenues across the pandemic period and the cancellation of Christmas last year.
Last month, the omnichannel retailer said 12-month sales to the end of March fell to £39.7 million from £118 million in the previous 12 months, understandable given the period covered three UK lockdowns.
However, it also said trading has improved since the removal of restrictions on large-scale social events “with performance approaching pre-pandemic levels on a like-for-like basis”. In the five months to the end of August, it saw sales of £30.6 million, almost as much as the whole of the previous financial year and that was £17.4 million higher than the equivalent period in the previous year.
