Pronovias appoints new managing director for North America

Barcelona-based luxury bridal company Pronovias Group has announced the appointment of Ermenegildo Zegna alum Maurizio Mantovani as its new managing director for North America.

In his new role, Mantovani will be tasked with accelerating the bridal group’s expansion in the U.S. and Canada, as part of a major step forward in the company’s growth strategy in the region.
 
Mantovani brings more than 20 years of experience in the luxury industry to Pronovias, having most recently served as CEO for the Americas at Corneliani. Prior to this, the executive spent more than seven years at Ermenegildo Zegna Group, working in a series of different roles of increasing responsibility, including SVP for operations and outlets, and SVP for the Americas.

“We are so excited to welcome Maurizio to the Pronovias family,” said Pronovias CEO Amandine Ohayon in a release. “His passion and industry expertise are key to making the company a leading bridal brand in North America.”
 
“It’s an honor to join Pronovias and help the group reach its next level in North America,” added Mantovani. “It’s a company I have always greatly admired, and we share common values and business philosophies.”
 
As the company pushes forward with its expansion plans in North America, Pronovias opened five standalone boutiques in the U.S. in 2019, in Miami, Houston, Austin, Boston and Philadelphia, and relocated its New York flagship. Since the start of the year, the group has also opened its second U.S. flagship in Los Angeles.
 
Owned by private equity fund BC Partners since 2017, Pronovias currently boasts 44 named boutiques around the world. Its products are also distributed through more than 4,000 multi-brand retailers in 105 countries.

As well as its namesake brand, the company’s portfolio includes labels such as St Patrick, White One, Nicole and Lady Bird.
