For its mid-September edition, Première Vision Paris brought together some 61,700 trade professionals who visited 1,900 exhibitors, offering a cross-sectional and complementary approach to the various companies represented.

A small decrease in attendance (-1%) was recorded compared to the record September 2014 edition. 74% of the trade professionals came from outside of France, representing some 174 nationalities. About 74% of the foreign visitors came from Europe, mostly from Italy (11% of overall attendance), followed by the UK, Spain, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Asia accounted for 13% of foreign visitors, with a "remarkable" increase from all its major countries. Japan brought 1,901 visitors, followed by South Korea with 1,209 (+8%). China recorded a 17% increase in attendance, with 2,891 professionals circulating along the show's aisles, despite the economic vagaries afflicting the world's most populous country.

By contrast North America recorded a slight decline, contributing 2,800 visitors, 2,400 from the USA, ranking 7th among visitor countries. The fall in Russian attendance, a 13% decrease in the visiting contingent, wasn't a huge surprise. Turkey enjoyed a 3% increase with 2,350 professionals, ranking in 8th place.

"In addition to this strong, reliable international public, the Première Vision Paris shows also gather a varied attendance, chiefly in terms of size and positioning", the organisers enthused. "From independent designers to international groups, including small and medium-sized businesses. From mass-market retailers to luxury labels, as well as medium and high-end  fashion and accessories brands."

The next edition of Première Vision Paris will be held from 16th to 18th February. Between now and then, the organisers will hold other international events: Première Vision Live in Seoul (12th-13th October) and Shanghai (15th-16th October), Première Vision Istanbul (21st-23rd October), Denim by PV Barcelona (18th-19th November) and Première Vision New York (19th-20th January).
