Pop-up department store Multiplex opens in London

British product and interior designer Tom Dixon has opened a pop-up department store at The Old Selfridges Hotel, London.

The captivating, innovative department store is called Multiplex and features a mix of emerging retailers from different fields. Visitors to fashion brand Obataimu's space will be able to see the clothes being made at a live production studio in Mumbai, and accessories brands include eyewear maker Cubitts and Scandinavian jeweller Gråsilver.

Other brands featured are Teenage Engineering, Reviv, Rive Roshan, and, of course, Tom Dixon.

The "immersive, multi-sensory department store of tomorrow" is located at the back of the Selfridges department store, in a huge industrial space, and will remain open until October 15, during a period when London will be busy due to London Fashion Week, London Design Festival and the Frieze Art Fair.
