With this transition, Tory Burch will step down from her position as Tory Burch LLC's current CEO, and will remain as the company's executive chairman and chief creative officer.

In his new position, Roussel will be based out of Tory Burch’s New York headquarters, where he will join and report to the company’s Board of Directors. In partnership with Burch, he will oversee the company’s global strategy with a focus on operations.

Roussel joins the brand after holding the role of chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group for the last 15 years, as well as serving as a member of the LVMH Executive Committee. During his career with the multinational luxury company, "Roussel successfully led the repositioning and global development of the fashion brands portfolio of the group including, among others, Celine, Givenchy, Loewe and Pucci," according to a press release from Tory Burch.

Roussel exited his role at LVMH in early 2018, and served as an advisor to LVMH's CEO, Bernard Arnault, until last month.

Prior to his time at LVMH, Roussel worked as a financial analyst at HSBC and Morgan Stanley, in addition to serving as a senior partner for McKinsey & Company, where he supervised the management consulting company's luxury, retail and consumer goods practice.

"Under Tory’s leadership, the company has had unprecedented success and
is well positioned for long-term growth globally,” said Roussel. “From day one,
investing in creativity and innovation has always been a strategic priority for the company. I look forward to working with Tory and her team to build on these investments and execute the business strategy.”

Launched in 2004, Tory Burch now operates over 150 freestanding boutiques, in addition to having distribution in over 3,000 department and specialty stores. According to calculations by Forbes, Tory Burch LLC is worth at least $3.5 billion.
