Penhaligon has just a few standalone UK stores, and this will be its first shop in the South East. It will measure 253 sqft. and sell the brand's full range of fragrances and grooming products when it opens in early August.

The heritage brand was established in 1870 and sells scents, as well as bath and body products. The Bluewater store will be located on the lower Guildhall next to Reiss, and was designed by an in-house team.

Russell Loveland, Portfolio Director at Land Securities, co-owner and asset manager of Bluewater, said: “Penhaligon’s is another distinguished addition to our line-up of premium brands, joining Breitling, Jo Malone and Montblanc in selecting Bluewater for their key store outside the capital."

Lance Patterson, CEO at Penhaligon’s added: “We wanted to continue our expansion within the UK and Bluewater stood out as the obvious choice when searching for a new site due to its proximity to London and the strength of its catchment.  In addition, we will be in such good company, surrounded by other great brands. We are thrilled to be opening later this year.”
