For its two new fragrances, the British perfumery has chosen to take inspiration from the wild and extreme landscapes of the United Kingdom, of Scotland in particular. "Blasted Heath" and "Blasted Bloom" will be available early September in boutiques and online.

The creation of these two new fragrances was entrusted to master perfumer Alberto Morillas. He created an olfactory portrait of the colors, textures and sensations of the wild coast of the UK where earth and sea meet.

"For me, each fragrance is like a painting that reflects nature. They portray the wild and unspoilt English coastline. I am a very observant person; I imagine fragrances as if they were spontaneous photographs of a landscape. For the masculine fragrance, I see a high wave crashing down on the heath on earth. For the feminine fragrance, I was inspired by wild flora in a sea breeze," explains the expert perfumer.

Blasted Heath opens on notes of aquatic accords mixed with seaweed absolute and clary sage absolute. The concoction is associated with green leaves, a woody Clearwood note, tobacco absolute, and whisky accords. The end notes are patchouli, cedar wood, vetiver and musc.

The second fragrance, Blasted Bloom, also focuses around aquatic accords but is this time associated to wild berries and green leaves. A mixture of eglantine rose, pink pepper and hawthorn. The base rests on Alaskan cedar wood, moss and musks.

The two new fragrances can be discovered this September in boutiques and other retailers of Penhaligon's as well as online. Price: €115 for 50 ml and €145 for 100 ml, (approx. US $128 for 1.7 oz. and US $162 for 3.5 oz.).
