Paul Smith opens in Brooklyn's Williamsburg

London-based designer Paul Smith, specializing in ready-to-wear and bespoke tailoring, has opened a new store in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg.

Located in the heart of Williamsburg’s exclusive Northside at 85 North 3rd Street, the 1100-square-foot shop is housed in an historic conversion where customers can find an intimate shop with a simple color palette.

The building’s industrial roots are brought to life with a strip timber floor and tin tile ceiling, while colors of blue and turquoise on the façade add a trademark pop of Paul Smith color. In line with a galley style layout, the location utilizes utilitarian style shelving and gallery style lighting, complemented by vintage furniture that is equally available for sale, and exclusive to the location. Finally, functional detailing like metal surfacing details is found throughout.

In store, customers can now shop Paul Smith men’s ready to wear and accessories as well as the recently launched PS Happy collection, in addition to a rotating selection of art and objects. The selection of finely crafted clothing are also currently on display alongside mural artwork by UK born and NY-based artist, Pat Vale.

The location marks the company’s second in New York City and its fifth full-price store in the U.S. Most recently, the brand set in motion expansion plans in mainland China where it opened a flagship store on Tmall Luxury Pavilion, earlier this summer. Its first namesake shop opened in 1970 in Nottingham.
