Global communications agency DLX will take control of Paul Smith’s communications in France, including public relations, VIP, influencer and digital strategy.

The announcement comes as the British designer label prepares to stage its Fall Winter 2020 show during Paris Fashion Week in January.

The showcase will kickstart the brand’s 50th anniversary celebrations, acknowledging its progress over half a century since Paul Smith established his namesake brand in 1970.

Retaining the values that the founder introduced nearly fifty years ago, the company says that ‘classic with a twist’ continues to be its guiding principle.

Based in Paris, DLX is a well-known PR firm which counts MatchesFashion and Christopher Kane among its clients.

In the year ended 30 June 2018, Paul Smith increased revenues by 6.7% to £197 million, helped by a strong rise in retail sales and new store openings in England, Germany and Hong Kong.
