Parasol to open larger store in Altrincham next month

Lifestyle retailer Parasol is opening a new bigger store within the Cheshire/Greater Manchester area in October. After outgrowing its Alderley Edge store last year, Parasol Retail said it has found the “perfect new location”, opening on George Street, Altrincham. 

Designed and project managed by Kevin Gill, and his team at One Fine Day Design, the store features a globally curated selection of travel-focused accessories, lifestyle, clothing, and gifting products including brands such as Carhartt, New Balance, Clarks, Yeti and Sunspel among others.

 
Director and co-owner Tim Gardiner said: “With the severe challenges that retailers in the UK have been experiencing, we believe there are great high street location opportunities for independent retailers such as us. The key is to have a distinct identity and a carefully curated brand line-up and this is what our team has achieved with the new store.

“We believe that Altrincham is the ideal location to host our continued development of the Parasol brand and feel we sit perfectly with the existing retail and hospitality offering that [it] has been successfully evolving.” 

Parasol Retail Limited is also the owner of Yards Store, with both having a very strong online presence. Bricks and mortar locations also exist in Manchester city centre via Yards Store on Old Bank Street and the neighbouring Fjallraven Manchester store.
