P.S. Rental launches as dedicated bridal platform

Published
Apr 13, 2023

When P.S. Rental launches today (13 April), it will fulfil its claim to become the first ever dedicated luxury wedding dress and accessories rental platform, “giving brides-to-be the opportunity to access revered designers at a fraction of the retail price”.

P.S. Rental

Whether driven by sustainable values or budget constraints, it said it “offers an alternative way to look and feel the best on one of the most important days of your life".

With the average cost of a luxury wedding dress sitting at around £3,500, P.S. Rental dresses can be loaned for just 30% of the retail value, "making the unachievable, achievable for many brides to be”.

Brides can try up to three dresses at home at a time, with the session costs between £30-£50 per try on session, depending on the amount of dresses requested. Once a dress or accessories have been chosen it’s possible for a bride to ‘book’ these items up to a year in advance. Temporary alterations are possible if overseen by the company’s team and implemented by experienced seamstresses.

Dresses and accessories can be loaned for up to 28 days. At the end of the rental period dresses are returned, professionally cleaned and repaired if needed, ready for the next bride.

Meanwhile, former brides also have the chance to earn a percentage of the rental fee from their once-worn wedding dresses and accessories, paid by brides choosing rental for their big day.

P.S. Rental said it will manage all of the logistics and ensure that dresses are kept in the best condition while in their care.

“This facet of the business not only encourages brides to think about circularity and extending the life of a garment, it also offers a financial incentive too”.

Founded by celebrity stylists turned occasionwear entrepreneurs, Ella Gaskell and Zoe Graham, P.S. Rental builds on the duo’s already successful P.S. Bridal personal styling platform for brides that was launched during lockdown. They have spent over 17 years between them working with high profile VIPs and designers including Suzanne Neville, Oscar De La Renta, Halfpenny, Dior, Nikeen Asar, Savin London and Sassi Holford, to name just a few.

Gaskell said: “I always wanted to rent my wedding dress, the idea of buying something you wear once and then sits in the loft is madness! For my wedding, I am looking for a show-stopping gown but don't feel the need to buy it new. I found the current bridal rental offer doesn't match up to what myself and other brides were looking for, that is why we are launching PS Rental. With all our favourite designers and styles on the platform, so every bride can have their moment whilst also helping the planet.”
