Outdoor retailer Blacks to open new store in Aintree

Blacks Outdoor is set to open its 58th UK store in a unit previously occupied by Maplin in Aintree Shopping Park on 11 February.

Spanning 4,300 square feet, the store will stock an extensive range of outdoor equipment and clothing, from waterproof jackets to tents, from brands including The North Face, Berghaus, Eurohike and Peter Storm.

Customers can also benefit from a boot fitting service and use in-store we kiosks to order products from the retailer’s website.

“Despite challenging circumstances in the current retail climate, we’re thrilled to be growing our UK store presence and are particularly happy to become a key part of the Aintree community,” commented Chris McGuinnity, head of retail at Blacks.

“Our store manager Martin Smith and his team are excited to open their doors and look after every customer that pays a visit,” he continued.

The store will create around 10 jobs, the retailer said. 20%-off vouchers will be given to customers over the weekend of 16-17 February to celebrate the launch.
