Independent fashion and lifestyle brand Oliver Bonas has announced plans to open its first store in Wales in Cardiff’s St David’s shopping centre.

The 2,290 sq ft store, to be created by the brand’s in-house team, will join Oliver Bonas’s portfolio of 60 stores across the UK. The St David’s location will stock fashion, jewellery, homeware and gift products from the label's own range and as well as items from select brands.

“New designs will land each week and we hope to see a positive reaction from customers. We look forward to being part of the community for years to come,” said a spokesperson for the firm.

St David’s is anchored by Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, and the largest John Lewis outside of London. The shopping centre has recently seen the opening of a Bravissimo flagship store, while popular burger brand Byron is set to expand the food offer when it opens its debut Welsh store at the centre in early 2018.

Other national and international retailers at the centre include H&M, Primark, New Look, River Island, Hugo Boss, Radley, Vivienne Westwood and Jo Malone
