Following the appointment of Doug Perkul, an expert in content and digital marketing, as O’Neill’s new chief marketing officer in mid-2014, the company recruited Kees Scholten to oversee its business in Europe.

Since January, the former head of Rockford Mills has been altering the company’s management in Europe. He has appointed a new manager in Benelux, Edwin Salfischberger, a former export manager at McGregor who is taking over from Niels Van Ingen.

In France, the country manager position occupied by Fabien Vancoille has been eliminated. Kees Scholten is working directly with Laurent Pacaud, retail manager, and Pascale Kaiser,  who manages key accounts. Laurent Pacaud is also taking over as head of the marketing department following the departure of Rémi Chaussemiche, who managed marketing and relationships with athletes.

"This organization will allow us to react more quickly," explained Kees Scholten. "And we will better be able to meet the expectations of our customers." The brand especially intends to strengthen itself with a retailer like Intersport

O'Neill has also taken direct control of its business in Switzerland, its local distributor having had to face currency fluctuations between the Swiss franc and the euro.
