NYX launches Masterclass tutorial program
NYX has launched its Masterclass, an online cosmetics education library featuring video tutorials from professional makeup artists and beauty vloggers.
Divided into "offline" professional makeup artists working in the entertainment and fashion industries, and "online" beauty gurus from Instagram and YouTube, the Masterclass content "will differ from traditional YouTube tutorials by consisting primarily of didactic, technique-focused content – with the intent for consumers to learn the tricks of the trade from the best in the business," NYX said in a press release.
Featured makeup artists include Patrick Ta, Denika Bedrossian, Ourfa Zinali and Nikkie Tutorials.
"Our goal is to create the world's most comprehensive library of educational content," said Mishel Garcia, director of artistry at NYX Professional Makeup. "Whether someone is just starting out in makeup artistry, or is already a professional looking to fine-tune his or her skill set, this educational program is here to reinforce NYX Professional Makeup's mantra of artistry for all."
To launch the new program, NYX will host a live masterclass session with makeup artists Patrick Ta and Karen Sarahi at Los Angeles' Goya Studios on October 11.
This new business venture follows the debut of NYX's Makeup Crew loyalty program and updated app, which launched last year.
The makeup company said it will add more video tutorials, including bilingual videos, to the Masterclass program in early 2019.
